About Us:
jim downey has been making functional flame-worked glass art since 1976.
jim downey glass (JDG) was incorporated in 2005, and fully realized in 2009. JDG moved to Wilmington, North Carolina in 2011.
We work color and clear borosilicate glass on the bench or on the lathe with hand torches. We use propane and oxygen. We repair everything we make, often for free. At JDG, our goal is have fun and to keep our customers happy.
