What you find at the Open House
Join us as we guide you through an inspiring journey of glass artistry, from live demonstrations to exploring unique creations that will benefit sea turtle protection.
Step One: Welcome and Introduction
We use flame-working techniques for shape borosilicate glass into functional glass art. Our work is done in a workbench using a propane-oxygen torch. Special safety glasses will be provided to protect spectators eyes.
Step Two: Live Demonstrations
Jim and his apprentice, Reading Blount will be in the torch demonstrating how to shape glass rods into flowers, sea turtles, and we will be taking special requests for those in attendance.
Step Three: Explore and Shop
There will be will be sea turtle pendants, hanging ornaments, and free-standing globes. We will also have other glass pendnat necklace designs and maybe even some glass drinking straws.
